Situated just 90 miles north of New York City in Millbrook’s famed hunt country, Stonewood is a family home, a vegetable and flower farm, and a destination to share common interests related to food, health, agriculture, and the environment.
Our passion is to offer the freshest produce and flowers while facilitating a local food culture that engages, educates and inspires people.
We grow over 140 varieties of high-quality vegetables, including many unique and heirloom varieties. We also grow blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and apples and offer the tastiest eggs from our small flock of happy hens. All of our vegetables, fruits, and flowers are certified organic.
Our growing methods combine traditional farming practices with modern approaches to small-scale, sustainable agriculture. We till minimally, rely on simple hand tools for cultivation, and strive to grow in abundance while continuously nurturing the health of our soil. We use only untreated, non-GMO seeds. Likewise, our chickens eat only non-GMO feed supplemented with vegetable scraps from our kitchens and fields.
You can purchase our produce, flowers, and eggs at a variety of locations in and around the Village of Millbrook including the Millbrook Farmers Market and Marona’s Supermarket. You can also find our produce on the menus of a number of local restaurants and caterers.
A vital part of our mission is our community outreach. For those who cannot otherwise afford our vegetables, we co-founded The First Harvest Pantry at Lyall Federated Church. Every week throughout the growing season, we donate a portion of the food we grow to First Harvest. Our outreach extends further into the community, working with local schools and organizations to develop student gardens and educational opportunities.
As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to a way of life that promotes environmental stewardship and community well-being.
